Elephant Yomp 2018

This year's Elephant Yomp Incident Hike saw more than 60 young people take part in the seventh annual event organised by the Nomads Explorer Scout Unit.

This years event saw scouts taking part in the event from all over the district, where young people took part in the challenging hiking event. Scouts taking part in the event had to plot an navigate a hiking route in the Bardney area - as they navigate the route completing a series of surprise challenges to score points.

The scouts undertook a number of challenges ranging from general knowledge, scout skills, memory games and problem solving - this years event even included a canoe challenge as well as having a go at tomahawk throwing.

Adam Jacklin, DDC and part of the events organisational team explains "I really enjoy the annual event, seeing young people return year on year taking on the challenge of the event - developing skills for life. I'm really proud to be part of the volunteer team who put on this event which provides young people both challenge and adventure".

The winners of this years event will be announced later this week - keep your eyes peeled for our announcement.
