Lincolnshire Scouts is a not for profit charity and, with the exception of one paid staff, is operated entirely by volunteers.
Funds to be able to run Scouts are generated from member subscriptions which is then split into group resource funds and District, County and HQ levies to cover services offered back to the membership.
We are supplemented at times through successful grant applications and the generous support of local charities in our Districts.
A number of local Funding sources have been identified by HQ and central information on grants can be found

The County Executive makes sure that proper financial planning and budgetary control is operated within the County. Proper books of account are kept, a statement of account is prepared annually and these are independently reviewed and presented at the AGM each year.
The County Team makes sure that it presents information to the Executive to discuss financial planning of the County’s activities. This useful budget planner makes it easy to consider the spend required to make the events and activities happen, the potential income from the participants and should include a contingency for the unexpected. This budget planner will help check if income and outgoings are likely to balance and help set a participant cost.
